We are pleased to invite you to the third annual Berkeley Dance Camp. The camp will be held on November 7, 2009, at Pauley Ballroom on the beautiful UC Berkeley campus. Sponsored by Berkeley Ballroom, this exciting day of intensive dancing is a fun and affordable way to improve your skills and socialize with other dancers.
Our day will begin with a series of professionally-taught classes encompassing beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels of instruction in both International Latin and Standard styles. These classes will spend much time focusing on the technique and finer details of each style of dance, which will infuse your Latin dancing with its characteristic sexy energy, and your Standard dancing with its own distinguishing flowing grace. This day of intensive dance instruction will feature some of the finest DanceSport instructors in the country, including Tomas Atkocevicious, Maria Shibalova, Aira Bubnelyte, Silke Miller, Arthur Sheyn, and Roberta Sun. Regardless of your current dance level, whether just beginning to step into the world of ballroom, or a well-versed veteran ballroom dancer, this comprehensive day of dance instruction is sure to provide you with new and exciting challenges suited to your needs.
In addition to professional coaching, we will also be offering supervised practice sessions conducted by advanced competitive collegiate dancers. The supervised practice sessions will allow you the opportunity to review the material learnt during group classes, under the supervision of an advanced dancer to whom you can bring questions, in order to firmly ingrain your newfound graceful agility into your muscle memory.
