UC Berkeley Ballroom Dancers is composed of over 150 talented and highly-motivated members, making us the largest ballroom team in Northern California.
As a non-profit, student-run organization, we raise money for training and events entirely through our own fundraising efforts, including teaching social dance lessons to the campus community. We host two annual competitions, the Berkeley Beginners’ Competition and the UC Berkeley Ballroom Classic. The UC Berkeley Ballroom Classic, draws hundreds of competitors and spectators from all over the Western United States to enjoy a day of extraordinary dancing and fun on UC Berkeley’s beautiful campus.
Hosting a competition is a strain on our limited resources, so we would like to ask for your help in defraying the cost.
In return for sponsorship, we will advertise your company or organization by posting a banner and/or link to your website on ours, naming a competition event in your honor, displaying your banner and/or flyers at our competitions and other events, and including your advertisement in our program.
Vendors are also welcome to have tables and banners at our events.
Benefits of Sponsoring UCBD:
• Web banners/links will be viewed by all visitors to our website.
• Competition programs will be distributed to all competitors and spectators.
• Banners will be prominently displayed near the competition floor, in view of all dancers and spectators, throughout the competition.
• Named events (e.g. “DanceSport Academy Standard Championship” or “J. Doe International-Style Team Competition”) will be announced in the competition program and during the associated event.
• Sponsor Announcement of your choice will be made during the competitions and events.
• Sponsor Flyers will be on display for anyone interested in more information about our wonderful sponsors.
• Vendors can offer a variety of products and services of use to ballroom competitors and spectators, such as ball gowns and tail suits, ballroom dance shoes, heel guards, photographers, hairdressers, theater makeup supplies, makeup and nail artists, tanning products, and more.
If none of these sponsorship arrangements fits your needs, other forms of promotion or advertising can be arranged on an individual basis.
